In modern fermentation and bioreactor systems, precise temperature control is an essential factor for process stability, reproducibility and product quality. Cooling and temperature control circuits must reliably remove process heat or supply it in a targeted way, without fluctuations affecting the biological processes.
The magnetic-drive MARCH M1 is suited to these requirements as a compact, leak-free and low-noise circulation pump with a 24V BLDC/EC drive. It was designed for applications in which a stable flow rate, high operational reliability, simple OEM integration and low-maintenance continuous operation are decisive.

The application
Fermentation and bioreactor systems are used in highly critical biotechnological processes, from early research and process development to industrial production of active ingredients and vaccines. In these applications, parameters such as temperature, pH value, oxygen supply and feed regime directly influence cell growth, yield and product quality.
A particularly safety-relevant part of the plant periphery is temperature control. Cooling and temperature control circuits ensure that heat is reliably removed or supplied as needed. Even small temperature deviations can impair process stability and have a negative effect on sensitive biotechnological processes.
In vaccine production, active ingredients are often processed and diluted after cultivation, transferred to sterile single-use containers and then transferred to downstream production and filling plants. This process chain places particularly high demands on the operational reliability and dependability of the peripheral components used.
Why a magnetic-drive 24V centrifugal pump?
In sensitive medical technology and biotechnology applications, leak-free, low-maintenance and low-noise pump solutions are particularly in demand. The magnetic-drive design of the MARCH M1 avoids dynamic seals in the classic sense and thereby significantly reduces the risk of leaks and the maintenance effort.
The compact 24V BLDC/EC drive makes the pump ideal for OEM integration into devices, skids and modular process systems. At the same time, its quiet running supports use in laboratory environments, diagnostic systems, clinical areas and other noise-sensitive applications.
With a flow rate of up to 8.4 l/min and a head of up to 4 mWC, the M1 offers a suitable performance profile for many cooling and temperature control tasks in biotech, MedTech and equipment peripherals.
