A pump that lets nothing out
The idea comes from the USA: more than 50 years ago MARCH Mfg. Inc. was the first company in the world to develop the leak-free, magnetic-drive chemical centrifugal pump. Instead of a shaft seal, a magnetic coupling transmits the power through a closed wall. The medium stays in the pump.
To this day the MARCH Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of leak-free pump systems. It supplies the chemical industry, plant construction, environmental technology, medical technology and other industrial original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and produces in the USA, Europe and Asia.
- Drive The motor turns the outer magnet carrier.
- Outer magnets They surround the wall and carry the torque with them.
- Containment shell The closed wall separates the medium from the environment. There is no shaft seal that could leak.
- Inner magnets They follow the magnetic field through the wall.
- Impeller It pumps the medium in the closed casing.
The medium (lightly tinted) stays entirely in the casing.
