Magnetic-drive gear pumps

Description

Plastic gear pumps for the chemical industry

The MARCH TEF-MAG® series gear pumps are innovative, externally toothed, rotary positive displacement pumps developed specifically for the safe handling of highly corrosive chemicals. These pumps are entirely non-metallic and have wetted pump parts made of high-quality non-metallic materials. An outstanding feature of these gear pumps is their magnetic-drive design, which ensures safe and reliable liquid delivery. The magnetic coupling eliminates the need for seals, which minimises the risk of leaks and increases overall operational reliability. The MARCH TEF-MAG® gear pumps also comply with the strict regulations of the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, which was developed specifically for use in potentially explosive environments. With this certification they are approved for safe operation in potentially hazardous areas. Whether corrosive acids, aggressive solutions or other hazardous chemicals, the MARCH TEF-MAG® series gear pump ensures reliable delivery and supports optimal safety.

Gear pumps are wet self-priming and produce an almost pulsation-free positive flow according to the displacement principle with high differential pressure. The pump casings of the TEF-MAG® series are machined from robust solid material and corrosion-resistant plastics such as PP, PVDF, PEEK, PVC or PE. The wetted shafts are also made of non-metallic technical ceramics such as SSiC or Al2O3, which represents the best possible chemical resistance. The gears are made of high-performance plastics with self-lubricating properties. The pumps of the TEF-MAG® series are therefore also able to pump low-viscosity liquids without problems. Power is transmitted from the drive to the pump without contact by strong NdFeB permanent magnets. As a result the pump works without any mechanical shaft seal, so that safe and leak-free pumping of corrosive, toxic and explosive liquids is ensured. Pumps for potentially explosive areas of Zones 1 and 2 can be supplied in corrosion-resistant and conductive plastics.
