Description

Magnetic-drive chemical centrifugal pumps

Centrifugal pumps are turbomachines for pumping liquids, based on the principle of energy transfer by centrifugal force. A rotating impeller, also called a vane wheel or radial wheel, converts the mechanical energy of the rotary motion into kinetic energy. The fluid is accelerated outwards by the blades of the impeller, which increases the velocity and pressure of the liquid.

Product description of the M series

MARCH magnetic-drive chemical centrifugal pumps of the M series work entirely without a mechanical shaft seal. Power is transmitted without contact to the hydraulic part by permanent magnets. MARCH magnetic-drive chemical centrifugal pumps meet the highest demands for quality, economy and reliability when pumping aggressive, toxic and environmentally hazardous liquids.

Design / function

The pumps are built in a compact close-coupled design. The modular system allows the individual parts to be exchanged quickly without special tools. The plain bearings are lubricated by the pumped medium, so the pumps work maintenance-free. Operation without pumped medium (dry running) and pumped media loaded with solids must be avoided. Only IEC standard motors to DIN/EN 60034 and VDE 0530 are used as motors. All pumps of the M series can be supplied with threaded or flange connections. For trouble-free pump operation, the operating limits must be observed, in particular the minimum flow rate and the required inlet head (NPSH, req.).

Areas of application

MARCH magnetic-drive chemical centrifugal pumps are used in particular for the safe pumping of acids, alkalis and solvents. Proven application examples include use as filter pumps in electroplating and the printed circuit board industry, as filling and circulation pumps in the chemical industry and in apparatus engineering, and in food, pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications.
