In the special issue “Best Brands of Process Industry” of the magazine Chemie Technik, Thomas Wollmann explains where the strengths of MARCH PUMPEN lie and where the company is heading.
Where do you see the strengths of MARCH PUMPEN as one of the leading manufacturers of leak-free pump technology?
Over the last 40 years, MARCH Pumpen has established itself as a manufacturer of magnetic-drive pumps, also for “niche applications”. These include in particular pumps that can pump small quantities of the most aggressive chemicals and explosive media under high pressure, pulsation-free and safely. We also manufacture magnetic-drive special centrifugal pumps for power plant engineering for one of the world’s leading listed manufacturers of gas-fired power plants, which withstand system pressures of up to 270 bar at temperatures of up to 315 °C. A diverse range from medical technology to heavy industry.
Which unique selling points would you particularly emphasise for MARCH PUMPEN?
MARCH PUMPEN is the only manufacturer in the world that makes metal-free magnetic-drive gear pumps from solid plastics such as PEEK or PVDF, suitable for the most aggressive media. Pumps of the TEF-MAG® series and VANE-MAG® rotary vane pumps are patented in the USA and across Europe. Furthermore, each of our pumps is made specially for the respective application and, where necessary, also developed.
Which business developments are important to you in the near future?
Because of our US patents, we are focusing on the US market in the near future, but Asia is also in focus. We are also continuing to expand our manufacturing programme so that in future we can offer a leak-free pump solution for almost any industrial application.
