The MMC determines the current consumption (i), the voltage consumption (U) and the phase angle (cos φ) of the drive motor in operating condition. By compensation adjustment of the internal resistance of the motor windings (R i), the actual power output of the motor to the driven machine is determined. Operating setpoints min. and max. of the power consumption can be preset digitally. If the preset power values are undershot or exceeded, the driven machine is switched off immediately. The analogue signals can be used as control signals by means of the analogue output.
